The Loam Goat Brakes warranty covers defects in materials or workmanship only. Warranty is for replacement of similar product or refund of purchase value only. Warranty does not cover brake noise or normal wear and tear. Some brake pad systems cause pads to wear faster than others.

Wonderful team & Unlocked braking I didn't know I wanted

Decided I'd try Loam Goat's pads as replacements for the stock Shimano pads that came in my 2018 Kona cyclocross bike (BR-RS405 brakes?). Picked the TRAIL compound and figured I'd upgrade to FINNED pads.

I accidentally mis-selected the replacement pads instead of the new finned pad kit, because Loam Goat noticed this was my first order and reached out to confirm I had their full fin kit already. We were able to get that corrected - saved me what would have been a sad self-inflicted unboxing! Quick shipping meant I was able to put these to use ASAP.

Took the bike out for a 30 km gravel ride and I was shocked at all the braking power I had been missing for the previous 8 years of ownership. I had never felt under-braked, but the added power was immediately noticeable and appreciated. Nice firm bite without being grabby. Quiet too. Super impressed. I will be buying more of these for the other road/gravel bikes in the house and Loam Goat's other pad shapes for our mountain bikes when their current pads run out.

Best Brake Pads Ever

Absolutely the best brake pads I have ever used on any bike. The value and quality and braking power for the price is utterly amazing! Buy them, you will not regret it. I used them for the first time on the 55 km Cowichan Crusher fondo in May 2026 and they worked falwlessly. I had absolute confidence in my braking power on the downhills. I will buy Loam Goat pads again in the future.
