I have tried both the Loam Goat gravity and sintered pads for Mavens. Being a heavier rider at 225lbs, I found the sintered pads to be just as good as OEM sintered pads. And I feel the longevity will be better than OEM because of more pad material. You cannot beat Loam Goat pads for quality and value, and I highly recommend trying them out for yourself!
I met the owner of Loam Goat on the trail Specifically the bottom of a double black trail with the initials of NN. Mt Seymour previously. He definitely understands what mountain biking is and has worked on releasing some great products. Recently ordered some LG pads they are sure stoppers and deliver as advertised. Speaking of delivery after ordering they arrived very quickly.

quality is excellent and the pads work just as good as OEM
I have 4 long rides on these pads now and they modulation they provide over the stock pads is definitely an improvement, they’re quite, and have a great bite when you need to smash the brakes. But be careful, you might be in for a world of surprises if you grab a little too much especially with the mavens, it’s easy to OTB if you’re not used to the power.

First ride on the Maven pads were tested on 2 short semi techy downhills. They seemed to grab and slow me down quite reliably but most new pads do. Towards the end of the second downhill they did get a little noisy.The real test will be to see how long they last.

My first impression riding XC in the forest with the Loam Goat Gravity pads were amazing. The initial bite was strong, and also had the power and were very quiet, even when I rode through puddles. I will be looking forward to testing them out at the bike park when it opens in the next month. I cannot wait until Ian stocks sintered pads, and will be for sure testing them out riding downhill! Great product, and great customer service and I feel Loam Goat's products offer great value for the price!
