Recommended: Bike shop install, or experienced DIYer who's bled hydraulic brakes before. Plan a few hours for both ends.
What you'll need: A bleed kit (we sell the Lewis one), torque wrench, fresh mineral oil, isopropyl alcohol, clean rags. Frame may need new caliper adapters depending on your mount type.
If you've never bled brakes, ask your shop. This isn't the place to learn on $700+ brakes.

Front and rear caliper (pre-bled), matching lever and reservoir, pre-cut hydraulic hoses, mounting hardware, and pad retaining bolts.
Pads come pre-installed: TP-37 sintered on most sets (LHT uses TP-40, AX uses EP-44). Rotors and frame adapters sold separately.
Running Hope brakes? TP-37 is the compound equivalent of Hope E4. TP-40 is the equivalent of Hope V4. The Lewis calipers physically fit Hope pads too if you've already got a stash.

These are post mount calipers. Check what mount your frame uses (IS or PM). If you're not sure, send us a photo of your current caliper at hello@loamgoat.com and we'll confirm.
Compatible rotor sizes: 180mm to 223mm. We carry matching Lewis Heavy Duty Rotors.

3-year warranty on manufacturing defects. Crashes aren't covered, but we stock spare parts and lever assemblies so you can repair without replacing the set.
60-Day Returns: unused, un-installed sets in their original packaging can be returned within 60 days for a full refund. You cover return shipping, and there is no restocking fee.
Once you've bled them they cannot be returned, but the 3-year warranty still covers any manufacturing defect.

Can't say enough good things about these brakes! Ordered a set (rotors and pads as well) as an upgrade for a 2019 Wilson DH bike which I bought used. Brakes arrived pre-bled which was a great surprise. Front brake was installed in under 5 minutes and I did NOT have to re bleed it, great feel right out of the box. The rear brakes I did have to shorten the cable by 20cm, but as an avid home bike mechanic after watching the videos on Lewis web page I felt more than confident taking on the task. Followed the directions with no special tools and had the cable cut to length and barb reinstalled in under 30 minutes. Had to bleed the rear brake, and I have to say was one of the easier sets to bleed. Used the syringe/cup method, slowly pushing fluid back and forth. Nailed it on the first attempt, and brakes are now solid. Just make sure to follow their bleed instructions, and dial out your bite point all the way or you will have to re bleed them.
The adjustability as mentioned is amazing. Love how I can fine tune the levers to sit exactly where the natural feel of my hands want them, and have the bite point kick in exactly where I want it to. Have run a few DH days now and the stopping power is blowing my mind. I can stop the bike on any grade, at any speed, as quickly or slowly as I want to. Come off a drop too fast and need to stop before that tree? No worries. Going down steep tech and need to shed some speed? Easy peasy. Steep rock slabs that go on forever that you used to lose braking power during? Not any more. Just amazing brakes, and my bike buddies couldn't believe it cost me half or less of their high end brakes. Lewis, your blowing my mind
I’ve upgrade to these guys from Shimano XT’s. Love the cnc’d aluminum finish, the adjustable brake points actually work compared to Shimano, install was easy and I love that I can use up my Shimano brake fluid. Seems to be compatible. The only downside are the small bolts to make adjustments on the levers as well as the sunken in bolt holding the brake pads including the VERY tiny safety pin.
The safety pin through the bolt is the biggest thing I don't like about the brake. That being said, it's a minor niggle for what you get.
